VapiCon 2026: the first-ever voice AI summit returns this November

VapiCon almost didn't happen last year.

The math didn't make sense. Vapi had no marketing department, no events budget, and we were planning for 500 people in a category that had never had a conference. As our CEO Jordan Dearsley wrote afterward: "Every spreadsheet said the same thing: don't do it."

Well, we did it anyway. And it surpassed every expectation.

On October 2, 2025, more than 850 people showed up in San Francisco for the first summit dedicated entirely to voice AI. 451 companies. 17 industries. Roughly a quarter of the room were founders and CEOs. 

It was, in Jordan's words, "beautiful, chaotic, and deeply human."

We hosted voices like Justin Uberti, head of real-time at OpenAI, Scott Stephenson, co-founder and CEO of Deepgram, and Alan Cowen, CEO and chief scientist at Hume AI. Now we're building an even bigger lineup for 2026.

What's changing in 2026

VapiCon 2026 will be the frontier voice AI summit. The community that held the first-ever voice AI summit is now back for two days on what's working and what's next.

One day becomes two. VapiCon 2026 runs November 11 and 12 at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason, and we're planning for 1,200+ attendees, 50+ speakers, and 20+ sponsors.

Voice AI in 2025 was mostly a question of whether this could work at all. That question is settled. The harder conversations now are about what happens after you deploy, how you continue to improve your agents, and where you can push on the limits of what’s possible with voice AI to reap immense rewards. Those questions, especially that last one, need more than a single day to cover.
