Using Verified "From" Numbers (Caller ID Masking) with Vapi

Hey Vapi team!

We’re currently using your API to make calls through our agents, and we’re also leveraging Twilio numbers for outbound calls.

We’re looking to use Twilio’s feature that allows setting a verified caller ID as the From number, essentially masking the call to show a different number that’s been verified. Is this supported through the Vapi API?

If not, do you know of any third-party service or workaround that would allow us to achieve this?

Currently, the Vapi documentation does not confirm support for Twilio's verified caller ID masking (using a verified "From" number) via the API. The standard way to make outbound calls with Twilio numbers in Vapi is as follows:

If you need verified caller ID masking, please check with Vapi support for the latest feature status or possible workarounds, as this is not documented as supported at this time.

+1 Did you figure something out for this? It seems like an important issue, controlling the number/caller id that you are calling from.
