Significant Lag Times
Hi, we've been experiencing 3-4 second delays with responses across all client calls, it's very disruptive to the calls - is there any reasons for this?

LHi, it seemed the lag / latency was ok again for a period of time...but it's now back, all of our assistants are getting very long delays again of approx 3-4 seconds before responses

KCould you please provide some call ids? One where it is fine and the other with the high latency/delayed response.
LIt seems to have cleared up for Twilio numbers, but we have a couple of clients using Telnyx and the latencies are really bad for those

In the recording it sounds like the user is delayed, but in the call it's actually the AI that's delayed
What this appears to show to me is that the delay isn't with VAPI but Telnyx...is there any way to confirm and fix this?

KWe’ve reviewed the call lag and confirmed that the delay is happening on the customer’s side of the connection (Australia → US). Since our servers are in the US, audio from Australia has to travel a long path.

- Configure the **SIP region** on your Telnyx number to **Australia (Sydney/Melbourne)**.
- If available, enable **media anchoring** so Telnyx keeps the audio local in Australia before forwarding it over Telnyx’s private backbone to the US.
