Telnyx inbound setup issue - "Number not found"

Dear Vapi support! I'm encountering an issue when trying to set up inbound calls from Telnyx; the autoresponder says number not found. I think it might be an issue with the translated numbers. Can anyone please tell me how that up properly? Outbound calls work perfectly. Cheers, Balázs

Hi b_lederer, To resolve the "number not found" issue with your Telnyx inbound setup, ensure that you've configured the SIP trunk correctly with Vapi. Here's a quick checklist: 1. Create a SIP trunk in Telnyx: - Navigate to Voice / SIP Trunking / Create in the Telnyx Portal. - Choose FQDN, click Add FQDN, and set it to sip.vapi.ai with the default port 5060. 2. Configure the translated number: - In the Telnyx Portal, go to Numbers and edit the number you'll be using. - Navigate to Voice settings and ensure the Translated Number matches your Vapi SIP URI, which should look like sip:<your-unique-id>@sip.vapi.ai. 3. Assign your phone number to the SIP trunk: - Go to the Numbers tab and assign your acquired number to the SIP trunk you just set up. Following these steps should ensure that incoming calls are correctly routed to your Vapi setup. For detailed instructions, you can refer to the Telnyx SIP integration guide. If you continue to have issues, verifying the settings with your Telnyx configuration might be helpful.

Thank you for your response: Navigate to Voice settings and ensure the Translated Number matches your Vapi SIP URI, which should look like sip:<your-unique-id>@sip.vapi.ai. The above is something you can't do in telnyx as it only accepts alphanumeric input. ALSO: my account is stuck in a verification loop. We're having a client demo in the upcoming days. Is there any way it can be repaired? Our account email is zoli@thinkai.hu
