Send Summary of the call via email

Hi Team, I'm looking for the best solution to send the summarization of a tech support AI agent call via email using. I'm new to Vapi and I would like to know what tool, integration or other feature I could use to make this happen. Thank you all!

To send a call summary via email, set up your Vapi Server URL to receive the

end-of-call-report

end-of-call-report

webhook, then trigger an email from your backend. For example, using Node.js and Nodemailer:

// Express endpoint to receive Vapi webhook
app.post('/vapi-webhook', async (req, res) => {
  const { summary } = req.body.message;
  // Send email with summary
  await transporter.sendMail({
    to: 'recipient@example.com',
    subject: 'Call Summary',
    text: summary,
  });
  res.sendStatus(200);
});

// Express endpoint to receive Vapi webhook
app.post('/vapi-webhook', async (req, res) => {
  const { summary } = req.body.message;
  // Send email with summary
  await transporter.sendMail({
    to: 'recipient@example.com',
    subject: 'Call Summary',
    text: summary,
  });
  res.sendStatus(200);
});

Replace recipient@example.comrecipient@example.com and configure your transporter as needed. This will email the call summary each time a call ends.
