Mismatch of costs on website vs actual
Hi, I am using GPT4.1. The cost is supposed to be 0.06/1M tokens.
I just made a test call and the cost was $0.10 for 52K tokens.
Can you please help me understand ?

yea use your own API keys, they say they don't charge for LLM and other beyond their 0.05cts/min but it's not true. You can see when you select other model, for example Haiku and Sonnet both have the same cost but when you use your own API it's clearly different... I told them months ago but it was never changed...Obviously coz it brings them money...

This is crazy. I don't want to use my own API keys because I want the charges to show in VAPI so I can rebill my customers accordingly. I will wait for their response. Saying one thing on your website but charging customers differently should be punishable by law, so let's hope they have a better explanation. @Mistermanu#000

Yea I get it! If you have volume its gonna cost you to wait though! For example right now they say Sonnet is 0.04/min but sometimes it shows as 0.08/min…which makes no sense either because its always the same price when you use the API. Id be curious to see what they say but I cant think of a good reason for that. Again last time i told Shubham during his office hours and he said it was a mistake and they’ll see about correcting that. Obviously that never happened…
