URGENT- Google calendar availability check and event creation failing
I’ve been working on a customer support workflow in VAPI that includes emergency handling, appointment booking, rescheduling, FAQs, and follow-up flows. I’m running into some issues specifically with the appointment booking path:
The availability check often stalls or fails to properly confirm dates that are already booked, seemingly bypassing the tool altogether.
The event creation step doesn’t register at all, no matter what I try.
I explicitly desrcibed the tools functionality (when to be launched and basic tasks) , connected my google calendar to vapi aswell as mapped startdatetime and enddatetime within the workflow
👉 What’s the correct way to structure the appointment booking path (availability + event creation) so it doesn’t stall or fail?
👉 Could there be something wrong with how I’m using the Google Calendar tool that’s preventing events from being created?
