Google Calendar Check Availability Tool is not functioning

The tool is unable to detect events that are already on the calendar. The calendar ID has been input into the tool and the calendar is public. I've completed the basic troubleshooting steps like disconnection the calendar integration. Any help would be appreciated.

The prompt:
  1. List the times that are open, meaning 29 minute openings that don’t have scheduled events at any point during the interval, by checking availability with the Google Calendar tool for the date that was discussed most recently and mention that appointments last around 30 minutes. Appointments must be between 9:30am and 4:31pm and must not have an event during their entire duration or start time. If there is an event within the 29 minutes following a time, do not mention that time and exclude it from the range of times you will provide the caller as that time is not available. Available times are those that do not have an event 29 minutes after them, are not earlier than 9:29am and are not later than 4:31pm. Provide times in 30 minute increments. Provide the caller with two ranges of times or no more than three time slots that are available for an appointment. Follow all of this up by saying something similar to, “What works best for you?” If at any time in the process the caller says that a specific time doesn't work for them, re-execute all the instructions in this step. If at any time the caller says that this day doesn't work for them or they would prefer a different day return to step 1.
The tool description:
Use this tool when checking availability for appointments, both for days of the appointment and times or for checking times that are available. When checking availability look for spaces on the calendar with no events for 30 minutes. If an event is booked on a day, do not mention any times that fall within the start or end time of that appointment. Also use this tool to check what day it currently is and when checking for the date that a day being discussed falls on.
