Scheduling The ai agent to handle Inbound Calls at specific times
i have a dealership client that wants to handle calls through AI agent after 5pm and works until 9am, and wants to handle calls himself from 9am to 5pm. can you only schedule the ai agent to answer inbound calls during 5-9 time. If so how can i do this what is the method.

just set up Dealership's phone system to transfer calls to your VAPI number after 5 pm till 9 am.

Use Make.com to route inbound calls based on time, set up a webhook to receive incoming call events, check the time in your timezone, and if it’s outside business hours, use Vapi’s API to assign the AI assistant to answer the call otherwise, forward it to the dealership owner or keep it unassigned..
