Voice Assistant goes silent during the call
We are testing a sales bot and noticed that in some calls, it just goes dead silent and does not say anything.

It says "Silence Timed Out"
The "Silence Timed Out" reason means the call ended due to prolonged silence. To reduce these occurrences, try increasing the silence timeout in your assistant's configuration:
This will allow up to 60 seconds of silence before the call ends. Adjust as needed for your use case.

But the assistant fell silent, not the customer. Instead, the assistant should have continued the call.
Thanks for clarifying that the assistant, not the customer, went silent. To help pinpoint the issue, could you please confirm if your assistant configuration includes a valid
firstMessage
and that both the Assistant ID and Text-to-Speech provider are correctly set? This will help rule out common setup issues that can cause the assistant to not speak during calls.

I'm seeing similar issues, but only when I have a Rime.Ai voice in use. Swapping to a different voice provider seems to solve the problem. Are you using Rime vocies by chance?

No, I haven't used Rime
Yes, both are set perfectly. I checked logs that LLM generates response but the assistant doesn’t speak and goes dead silent during the call.
