Recording a Tranferred Call?
How can I Avoid Stopping the Recording on Transfer: When the call is transferred, ensure that the recording does not stop.
Is there a way to configure this?

Absolutely, you can ensure that the recording continues even when the call is transferred. The
recordingEnabled
option is designed to control this behavior. To avoid stopping the recording on transfer, you should ensure that recordingEnabled
is set to true
. This setting should be applied before the call is transferred to maintain the recording throughout the entire call session.
If you need assistance with configuring this setting or ensuring it's applied correctly, please let me know, and I'd be happy to help!

@Vapi Do you agree with Shubham and if so is this on the product roadmap as it seems like a key feature?
@sky
I understand the concern. If the current behavior of the VAPI is to hang up the call after transferring, which results in stopping the recording, this is indeed an area that could be improved. Continuous recording through a call transfer is a valuable feature for many use cases, such as customer service and compliance.
While I don't have access to the product roadmap, I agree that this seems like a key feature that would enhance the functionality of the VAPI. It would be best to check with the product team or the official roadmap documentation to see if this feature is planned for future updates.
If you need further assistance or want to suggest this feature to the development team, please let me know, and I can guide you on how to proceed.
