Assistant still saying "goodbye" after detecting voicemail

Ended Reason results in assistant-ended-call each time (got silence-timed-out once)

update: the above issues were for a transient assistant configuration (using assistant_override)
i tried updating the static assistant directly and finally got a "voicemail" for Ended Reason — however my assistant is still saying "goodbye"; any tips on preventing the assistant from speaking and simply just ending the call?
