Importing toll free number into Vapi.

Hey guys recently I purchased a Bulgarian toll free number from Twilio, but Vapi is not allowing me to import it because of format issue. I already tried to import in different ways but nothing is working. The format of the toll free number is slightly different from the normal phone numbers in Bulgaria so Vapi dashboard is not recognising it properly, so I can't import it in any way. Does somebody maybe have some guidance for me since I am not receiving any response to my emails.

@dotko3 Try indicating to VAPI that the number isn't formatted as an E.164 phone number, then import the number as it is sent from Twilio. Pay attention to + signs and other "special formatting" that may be required. If that doesn't help, please DM me and I'll see if I can help you with that.

It seems that Vapi might not recognize certain international toll-free number formats, like your Bulgarian number, even when they are valid. To attempt importing your number, make sure it is in E.164 format, such as +359800210XXXX+359800210XXXX, with no additional characters or spaces.

If you continue to encounter the validation error, you might consider using the Vapi API directly for importing the number:

If the issue persists, check that the number is active and not a type that cannot be used for regular voice/SMS services (such as WhatsApp only). If this problem remains unresolved, it may be due to a current limitation in handling international toll-free numbers, specifically those like Bulgarian ones, with Vapi.
