Phone transfers/SIP Trunking
Hey everyone! We’re setting up an extensive list of phone transfer destinations with extensions.
Doing this in the Tools section in VAPI has caused us problems, and it’s refusing to transfer to the extensions we add - instead it sends the caller to the main number.
Do we:
1) fix this error somehow (please help) - this is best for us at the moment
2) do SIP trunking in Twillio
Any guidance is incredibly helpful

Hey! I can help you get the transfers working properly so callers actually reach the extensions instead of the main number. Quick question—does your current setup let you create custom dial plans, or are you only working within the VAPI Tools interface? That’ll help me know whether we should fix this in your current setup or consider moving to Twilio SIP trunking.

Hi @TheRealBG please watch out for @Marker . He says he knows the answer to your problem and he can help. But he will ask for money upfront. I made the mistake of doing so and never heard back from him. I already reported him in the # report-scam channel. But I wanted you to be aware of him. Cheers!
I sincerely apologize for the delayed response to your support request.
We implemented better tracking for support tickets to ensure timely responses going forward, but due to a technical limitation, this only applies to tickets created after this past week.
