API call during call referencing the callers phone number

I can see the correct caller number in the call logs under customer.number (e.g. "+6140…") and it’s present as soon as the call starts, but inside the Assistant runtime I can’t access it reliably with {{phone}} or {{customer.number}} when calling tools. Is there a supported way to reference the live customer.number directly in Assistant prompts/tools during the call, or do I need to always pass it in from a Workflow? I had the lookup call tool working in a workflow but when I try it in an assistant it doesnt work. Have tried multiple variables like {{phone}} as well.

Hi, could you please provide a call id where you used this lookup call tool in an assistant? We would like to review the logs and see what information is in its place
