Poor conversation flow -Arabic speaking assistant cuts off mid conversation.

I'm having issues with my Arabic-speaking assistant in Vapi. I'm feeling lilke there is a LLM response delay that makes the assistant cut the conversation or interrups the customer. Currently I'm using AZURE - AR-JO(arabic jordan) transcriber.
One example is when the customers says "Hello?" repeatedly when the assistant is in silence, leading to a choppy and unnatural flow. This makes the customer lose patience and hang up.
Has anyone experienced similar behaviour with long LLM thinking times and interruptions? How can I make the conversation flow in a more smooth way?
