"Voice output stopped working after VAPI update - GPT-4o Mini Realtime + Chinese prompts"
Hello VAPI community!
I'm experiencing an issue where my voice assistant has stopped producing audio output after a recent VAPI platform update. The same configuration was working perfectly before.
Current Setup:
Model: OpenAI GPT-4o Mini Realtime Cluster
Voice Provider: OpenAI
Voice: Echo
TTS Model: GPT-4o mini tts
Language: Chinese prompts/responses
Problem:
Previously: Everything worked normally with voice output
After VAPI update: No voice output during testing (assistant responds but silent)
OpenAI credits: Sufficient balance confirmed
What I've tried:
Verified OpenAI account has adequate credits
Confirmed same settings that previously worked
